Tamim International Limited exports metals, minerals, gemstones and agricultural commodities from Tanzania to buyers worldwide. We quote CIF or DDP to your port or door, and you pay by T/T only after you or your inspector have seen the goods, are satisfied and have signed the contract. There are no upfront fees, ever.

This page explains how shipping works and which import rules buyers in each region usually need to check before ordering. Import rules change and depend on the exact product, so your customs broker or import agent should always confirm them for your shipment.

Where we ship from

  • Dar es Salaam port is the main export gateway for our metals, minerals and most agricultural cargo.
  • Raw cashew nuts from Mtwara, Lindi and Ruvuma ship through Mtwara, as Tanzanian cashew rules require (see raw cashew nuts and kernels).
  • Gold moves by air, sea or land as agreed in the contract, under Tanzanian export permits.

Import rules to check, by region

China, Japan and East Asia

  • Full guide: copper scrap, cathode and concentrate export to China and Asia, covering the GB/T standards, concentrate impurity limits, India’s PSIC and Vietnam’s scrap rules.
  • Food and agricultural products: China requires overseas producers of foods such as edible oils, oilseeds, nuts and unroasted coffee beans to be registered with China Customs (GACC) under Decree 248, in force since 1 January 2022, with the registration number on the packaging. Tamim International is registered with GACC as an overseas exporter of food products; we share the registration details with buyers on request.
  • Copper and aluminium scrap: since 1 November 2020 China imports recycled copper, brass and cast aluminium as raw materials only when they meet GB/T 38471-2019, GB/T 38470-2019 or GB/T 38472-2019 (S&P Global summary). Specify the standard in your RFQ so inspection checks the right limits.
  • Relevant products: copper cathode, copper concentrate, coltan, soybeans and edible oils.

India and South Asia

  • Metal scrap: India requires a pre-shipment inspection certificate (PSIC) for imports of metallic waste and scrap, issued by an inspection agency recognised by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). Name your preferred recognised agency in the inquiry.
  • Relevant products: Millberry copper wire scrap, aluminium UBC scrap and A7 ingots, raw cashew nuts and edible oils.

Middle East, the Gulf and Turkey

  • Our sunflower, palm, soybean and canola oils are Halal certified; ask for the certificate with your offer.
  • Relevant products: gold bars and nuggets (shared with verified buyers after due diligence), refined sunflower oil, copper and aluminium.

European Union and the United Kingdom

  • Deforestation-free products (EU): the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applies to coffee, palm oil, soy and their derivatives from 30 December 2026 for medium and large operators (Forvis Mazars summary). The first operator placing the goods on the EU market files a due diligence statement, which needs geolocation data for the production plots. Raise this in your inquiry for coffee, palm oil, soybeans, soybean meal and soybean oil.
  • Tantalum ores and gold (EU): EU importers above set volumes must carry out supply-chain due diligence under the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU) 2017/821. We provide traceability and due-diligence documents for coltan and gold.

United States and Canada

  • Food imports (US): the FDA requires food facilities to be registered, prior notice to be filed before food is offered for import, and US importers to verify their foreign suppliers under the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP). Your importer of record files prior notice; we supply the documents your FSVP review needs.
  • Relevant products: copper cathode and scrap, cashew kernels, coffee and edible oils.

Vietnam and Southeast Asia

  • Vietnam and other processing countries buy raw cashew nuts during the Tanzanian season, which opened on 1 September for 2026/27. Quality is judged on outturn (kernel output ratio), nut count and moisture, agreed in the contract.

Documents we provide

Every shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, certificate of origin and the inspection certificate agreed in the contract. Product-specific documents include phytosanitary certificates for agricultural goods, mineral export permits for metals and minerals, and traceability, due-diligence documents and an SKR (safe keeping receipt) for gold, coltan and other metals. Always verify an SKR directly with the custodian that issued it.
